What is an Abandoned Checkout Flow?

An Abandoned Checkout Flow automatically sends messages to customers who added items to their cart and started the checkout process but didn't place an order. This Flow gently reminds them to complete their purchase, making it easy for them to come back and buy.

⚠️ Important Note:

Our AI will automatically respond to Abandoned Checkout Flow messages.

We recommend NOT adding the "Send Auto Reply Text Message" flow action to this flow, as it can interfere with our AI and create confusing duplicate responses.

How Does it Help?

This flow helps you recover revenue from lost sales by:

  • Reminding customers about items they left on their checkout page

  • Offering help if they had questions or issues

  • Bringing shoppers back to complete their order

How to Create an Abandoned Checkout Flow

There are two ways to get started:

1. From the Flow Home Screen

  • Scroll down to find the Abandoned Checkout Flow Template

  • Click Create

2. From the Create Menu

  • Click + Create Flow

  • Select Use a Flow Template

  • Choose Abandoned Checkout Flow

  • Click Create Flow

Flow Properties

For a Browse Abandoned Checkout, we recommend using the properties shown in the image below:

Customize Your Flow (Optional)

Once you create the flow, you'll see the Flow Builder screen.

To make changes:

  • Click Edit Flow at the top

  • Customize the messages, timing, or settings as needed

Note: Editing a flow creates a new version of it. Go to "See Version History" from the three dots on top to activate the correct version.

To use it as-is:

  • Simply Turn On your flow, or

  • Schedule it to start later

Note: You cannot create multiple flows with the same name.

Need a similar flow? Clone your existing flow to create a copy, then rename it.
