Create a Browse Abandonment Flow from a Template

Set up an automated flow to re-engage customers who viewed products on your store but didn't add anything to their cart.

Browse abandonment SMS messages can only be delivered to customers who have legally consented to receive text messages from your business.

What is a Browse Abandonment Flow?

A Browse Abandonment Flow automatically sends messages to customers who looked at products in your store but didn't add them to their cart or make a purchase.

It reminds them about the products they were browsing and encourages them to come back and shop.


How Does It Help?

This flow helps you:

  • Re-engage shoppers who showed interest in your products

  • Remind customers about items they viewed

  • Turn browsers into buyers

  • Capture sales you might have otherwise lost


How to Create a Browse Abandonment Flow

There are two ways to get started:


1. From the Flow Home Screen

  • Scroll down to find the Browse Abandonment Flow Template

  • Click Create

2. From the Create Menu

  • Click + Create Flow

  • Select Use a Flow Template

  • Choose Browse Abandonment Flow

  • Click Create Flow


Flow Properties

For a Browse Abandonment Flow, we recommend using the properties shown in the image below:


Customize Your Flow (Optional)

Once you create the flow, you'll see the Flow Builder screen.


To make changes:

  • Click Edit Flow at the top

  • Customize the messages, flow properties, or flow actions as needed

Note: Editing a flow creates a new version of it. Go to "See Version History" from the three dots on top to activate the correct version.

To use it as-is:

  • Simply Turn On your flow, or

  • Schedule it to start later

Important Note:
Set the compliance for this flow to "Promotional" to stay compliant with regulations and ensure carriers deliver your messages without issues.
