What is a Welcome Series Flow?

A Welcome Series Flow automatically sends a series of messages to new subscribers when they join your SMS list.

It's like a friendly introduction to your store, helping new customers feel welcome and excited to shop with you.

How Does It Help?

This flow helps you:

  • Make a great first impression with new subscribers

  • Introduce your brand, products, and values

  • Build a relationship with potential customers

  • Encourage first-time purchases

How to Create a Welcome Series Flow

There are two ways to get started:

1. From the Flow Home Screen

  • Scroll down to find the Welcome Series Flow Template

  • Click Create

2. From the Create Menu

  • Click + Create Flow

  • Select Use a Flow Template

  • Choose Welcome Series Flow

  • Click Create Flow

Flow Properties

Using the flow properties shown in the image below is best for a Welcome Series Flow:

Customize Your Flow (Optional)

Once you create the flow, you'll see the Flow Builder screen.

To make changes:

  • Click Edit Flow at the top

  • Customize the flow properties, messages, or flow actions as needed

Note: Editing a flow creates a new version of it. Go to "See Version History" from the three dots on top to activate the correct version.

To use it as-is:

  • Simply Turn On your flow, or

  • Schedule it to start later

Important Note:

  • The compliance for this flow must be set to "Promotional" to ensure easy delivery of messages by carriers.

  • You cannot create multiple flows with the same name.

  • Need a similar flow? Clone your existing flow to create a copy, then rename it.
