What is the Frequency Filter?

The Frequency Filter lets you set a time limit on how often a subscriber can enter a specific flow.

For example: If you set it to 30 days, a subscriber can only enter that flow once every 30 days, even if they trigger it multiple times.

When Should You Use It?

Use Frequency Filter to:

  • Prevent spam – Stop sending the same message to customers repeatedly

  • Reduce opt-outs: Customers who receive too many messages are more likely to unsubscribe.

  • Improve customer experience – Nobody likes getting the same text over and over

  • Protect your sender reputation – Avoid being marked as spam, which can hurt your deliverability

How to Set Up Frequency Filter

Step 1: Open your Flow Properties

Step 2: Look for the "Frequency Filter (recommended)" section

Step 3: Enter your settings:

  • First box: Type a number (like 1, 7, or 30)

  • Second box: Choose the time period (Hour, Day, Week, or Month)

Example: Enter "1" and select "Month" = Subscriber can enter once per month

Step 4: Save your Flow

Best Practice: Use a 30-day Frequency Filter to avoid over-texting the same subscriber.

This keeps your messages helpful, not annoying!

Quick Tip: Always add a Frequency Filter to your flows, it's one of the easiest ways to keep customers happy and engaged.
