Cancellation Trigger in Flows

How to prevent a flow from firing if certain conditions are met

What is a Cancellation Trigger?

A Cancellation Trigger is a rule that prevents a subscriber from entering a flow if a specific condition or set of conditions is met.

Why Does It Matter?

Without it, subscribers who shouldn't enter a flow could accidentally receive a message.

For example, imagine a customer already bought something, but is still getting "Don't forget your cart!" texts. That'd be awkward, and annoying!

How to Add a Cancellation Trigger

Step 1: Inside your Flow Builder in TxtCart

Step 2: Look for the Cancellation Trigger section under Flow Properties

Step 3: Click "Add Cancellation"

Step 4: Choose the trigger that should stop the flow (e.g. Order Placed)

Step 5: Repeat to add more triggers if needed, you can add multiple!

Step 6: Save your flow

Best Practice Example:

Running an Abandoned Cart Flow? Always add "Order Placed" as a Cancellation Trigger.

This way, if a customer completes their purchase, they'll automatically stop receiving cart reminder texts. No awkward messages. No confusion.

Pro Tip: You can stack multiple Cancellation Triggers on one flow! For example, stop the flow if a subscriber places an order OR if they reply to your message.
