Understanding Flow Statuses
Flows can have different statuses that tell you whether they're active, inactive, or removed from your main dashboard.
Knowing these statuses helps you manage your automations effectively. Flows have two main statuses that tell you whether they're running or paused.
Active – The flow is turned on and is currently sending messages to subscribers who meet the trigger and flow conditions.
Inactive – The flow is turned off and won't send any messages until you enable it again.
Enabling or Disabling a Flow
You can turn flows on or off in two places:
1. From the Flows Home Screen
Step 1: Go to the Flows section in your TxtCart dashboard.
Step 2: Find the flow you want to enable or disable in the flows list.
Step 3: Click the toggle switch in the Status column next to the flow name:
Blue (On) – Flow is active and sending messages
Gray (Off) – Flow is inactive and paused
2. From the Flow Summary Screen
Step 1: Click on a flow name to open the Flow Summary Screen.
Step 2: Use the toggle switch at the top of the screen to enable or disable the flow.
The change takes effect immediately in both cases.
Flow Actions Menu
The three-dotted option menu (•••) gives you different options depending on whether your Flow is active or inactive.
For Active Flows
Step 1: Click the three-dotted option menu (•••) next to an active flow.
Step 2: You'll see these options:
View – Opens the Flow Summary Screen to see performance details.
Edit – Opens the flow builder to modify messages and settings.
Clone – Creates a duplicate copy of the flow.
For Inactive Flows
Step 1: Click the three-dotted option menu (•••) next to an inactive flow.
Step 2: You'll see these additional options:
View – Opens the Flow Summary Screen to see performance details.
Edit – Opens the flow builder to modify messages and settings.
Clone – Creates a duplicate copy of the flow.
Archive – Moves the flow to your archived flows list.
Delete – Deletes the flow permenently
Important:
Active Flows Cannot be Archived. You must first disable a flow (turn the toggle off) before you can archive it.
Once you archive or delete a flow, it cannot be recovered. All performance data, messages, and settings will be lost.
The delete option is only available for cloned flows.
