TxtCart makes it effortless for stores to include a checkout link in their flows, streamlining the path to purchase for your customers.
Stores can embed abandoned checkout links in flows triggered by:
Checkout Started: When a customer abandons checkout, automatically send them a direct link to pick up where they left off.
What's an Abandoned Checkout Link?
A special URL that takes customers directly to their checkout page to complete their order.
How Does it Work?
When a customer reaches checkout but doesn't complete their purchase, you can send them a text with a link that brings them right back to the checkout page—with all their info already filled in.
How to Add an Abandoned Checkout Link to Your Flow Message
Step 1: Open your Flow Builder in TxtCart.
Step 2: Write your message where you want the checkout link to appear.
Step 3: Click the Link Icon in the message editor.
Step 4: From the Short Links dropdown, select Abandoned Checkout.
Step 5: Save your message.
Step 6: Click on the three dots at the top, then select See version history.
Step 7: Activate new version.
That's it! TxtCart will automatically add the checkout link when the message is sent to your customer.
Important Note:
If you send yourself a Test Message, the abandoned cart link might contain placeholder text. Don't worry, this is normal!
Test messages aren't triggered by real checkout activity, so there's no actual checkout to link to. When a real customer abandons checkout, they'll receive a working link that takes them straight back to complete their purchase.
FAQs
1. What happens when TxtCart doesn't have existing shipping information?
For first-time customers or when shipping data isn't available, the shipping section remains empty. Customers will still land on their checkout page with their selected products and variants loaded; they'll just need to input their shipping details.
2. Does clicking a checkout link add items to an existing cart?
No. The checkout link generates a fresh cart containing only the product from your flow message. For multi-item flows, only the first item added to the original cart will be included in the message link.
